With a background in Cinema studies at university, I’ve developed not only a sharp eye for aesthetics but also a strong foundation in narrative and emotion. My work blends creative vision with technical skill, allowing me to capture authentic moments that speak louder than words — whether in a single still frame or a moving sequence.
Every project I take on is more than just a job; it’s a chance to connect, to tell real stories, and to craft lasting memories. From intimate pre-wedding shoots to full-scale wedding day films, I approach each couple’s journey with care, curiosity and cinematic intent.

Hi, I’m Jay Chubby — a filmmaker turned wedding storyteller.
My journey began with a passion for visual media. I studied Radio & Television in high school, then went on to complete a university degree in Cinema. From there, I dove deep into the creative industry, working in advertising agencies and production companies across a variety of visual projects.
But it was in weddings that I found something truly special.
With years of experience in storytelling, cinematography and creative production, I now bring a cinematic approach to capturing love stories. Whether it’s a quiet glance, a joyful laugh or that once-in-a-lifetime walk down the aisle, I aim to craft films and photos that feel honest, emotional, and timeless.
Based in Melbourne, I work with couples across Australia to create wedding visuals that are more than just memories — they’re little pieces of art.
